Vitafoods is the leading meeting ground for the global nutraceutical industry. All sectors of the supply chain are present, and it is the best place to connect with different facets of the industry. New business opportunities are abundant; entrepreneurs, investors, manufacturers, distributors, wholesalers, retailers, marketing and branding professionals, scientists, brands, and businesses use this space to collectively move the industry forward.
THREE DAYS OF INDUSTRY DEVELOPMENT
This promotes an excellent opportunity for cross-industry interaction. This year, the event featured pharmaceutical companies, nutricosmetics, natural and herbal medicines, functional foods and drinks, dietary supplements, ingredient and raw material manufacturers.
Cibdol was officially represented at the 2018 Vitafoods fair in Geneva. We had our booth ready for an expected three days of intense contact and exchange of ideas.
What we did not expect was the overwhelming interest our booth attracted. Our team—Dzenita, Angela, Jack, Sean, Mario, Jeroen—championed through the long days to accommodate everyone’s inquiries.
It was evident that awareness about CBD has finally entered the public domain. It is no longer a vague concept surrounded by fear-mongering prejudice of cannabis and hemp.
CBD products are increasing in demand, and we had our hands full satisfying all the questions we received.
THE RISE OF CBD: PREPARING FOR VITAFOODS 2019
The newest products we showcased were highly praised—especially our line of CBD supplements for pets, called Cibapet.
And while we received innumerable inquiries, surprisingly, most fell within the same topics.
There is a clear demand for high-quality raw materials. High-quality, CBD-rich hemp that is unpolluted by pesticides, moulds, and other toxic elements is an important foundation for all those interested in CBD products.
Questions surrounding the legal status of CBD were abundant. While awareness and acceptance of CBD products was evident, there is still a lot of misinformation regarding this subject, and therefore, some confusion.
We received a considerable amount of requests for private labelling. This is, traditionally, a very positive sign of market growth acceleration.
By officially participating in Vitafoods 2018, we were able to properly interact with both our customers and suppliers face to face, which brings us all closer together.
We never expected such a positive and meaningful reception. For that reason, we will double our presence and booth size at next year’s Vitafoods event.
We would like to thank the event’s organisers for an excellent job and smooth operations. We’d of course also like to thank all our customers, suppliers, business partners, and everyone else we met.
We returned to our laboratories fully motivated to continue our mission of setting the gold standard for CBD products.
Until Vitafoods 2019.
